Through the use of different materials and varying the shape, the item can be configured to the break down application in terms of throughput and lifespan.

In the X-option, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the cutting tools. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
