Compatibility with machines:

For crushers, shredders, pre-shredders and post-shredders by the manufacturer Herbold Meckesheim the counter knife is ideally suitable.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting shape and the material used for constructing have a significant influence on the insensitivity and service life.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-variant, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-version. This means that a longer operating time can be secured. In comparison, however, the counter knife is more predisposed to impurities, which can lead to breakage more quickly.

Items of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife can be combined with knives and cutters with a length and width of 50mm. Due to the broad range of recycling machines, other configuration variations are possible.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

The measurements of the counter knife are 163mm long, 71mm wide and 35mm high.
