The counter knife has been constructed for Eldan HPG 165 series by manufacturer Eldan Recycling.

This X-variation counter knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard option in most break down applications. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.
Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.
Products of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.
Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
