Knives made in this Y-variation will increase the tool life of your component. Due to the hardness the susceptibility to impurities is higher, which makes it easier to break.

In this variant, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the stator knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this option, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.
