This stator knife can be installed in the cutting mills and the granulator of the Herbold Meckesheim brand.

In the Y-version, this spare part is made of alloyed tool steel. The stator knife in this variation is approx. 5% harder than the X-option, which results in a longer operating time. Nonetheless, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Components of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will fundamentally weaken the structure.
